Who Are We?
DREAMMS for Kids, Inc., is an Assistive Technology information clearinghouse located in the Fingerlakes of New York. Founded by the parents of a child with Down syndrome, DREAMMS is committed to increasing the use of computers, high quality instructional technology, and assistive technologies for students with special needs in schools, homes and the workplace. As a 501(c)(3) agency, we are supported by personal and corporate donations and the small revenue from our product sales. We receive no government funding.

To Facilitate Technology Access for Children with Special Needs
We accomplish this mission by increasing overall Assistive Technology awareness. Our programs and services are specially designed to assist parents and teachers in their search for technology based solutions for the kids in their care.

Executive Director
Janet P. Hosmer
Ms. Hosmer, with over 20 years of experience in the Assistive Technology realm, is the founder and Executive Director of DREAMMS for Kids, and has been since its inception in 1988. She is also the Editor in Chief of DIRECTIONS: Technology in Special Education. Ms. Hosmer was previously an engineer with the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory, and also served as the Director of Operations at WetStone Technologies, Inc. for 5 years. She is the parent of a child with Down Syndrome and focuses the majority of her time on facilitating the use of assistive and adaptive technologies.
